About Mia Robey
Mia is a ceramic artist and printmaker living and working in Worthing, West Sussex. She began her pottery journey about 10 years ago, back in her hometown of London. She moved to Worthing in 2020, following the birth of her son, to set up a new life that's more in touch with nature.

She is heavily inspired by the natural world around Sussex, and both the sea and woodlands feature strongly in her work. She also takes influence from Japanese Shintoism, which teaches that spiritual powers exist in the natural world, and so believes in the importance of harmony with nature.

She is an advocate for creativity being a useful tool to asisit with mental wellbeing, and talks a lot about mindful practice though art. Mental health is an issue close to her heart and many of her pieces reflect that.

Mia creates 3-4 new collections each year. If you'd like to know when new pieces become available online, please sign up to the mailing list, as collections can sell out very quickly. Almost all of the pieces are one off and styles are constantly evolving. She is open to commisions for both ceramics and printworks, please get in touch directly if you are interested in having something commissioned.
As well as creating her own artworks, Mia also teaches classes in and around Worthing. You can find out more about these via the menu tab.
