🍂 Woodland Creative Retreat
A Day of Nature, Creative Play & Letting Go of Perfectionism
 
A day to slow down, reconnect with nature, and rediscover the joy of creating simply for the sake of it.
 
Held just after the Autumn Equinox, this retreat celebrates the changing season — a time to pause, gather inspiration, and embrace the beauty of transition.
 
Set in an ancient woodland hillside, this outdoor creative retreat invites you to step away from the pace of everyday life and reconnect with creativity, nature and yourself.
 
This is a day to let go of the pressure to create something “perfect”, and instead embrace curiosity, playfulness and the freedom to explore.
 
You don’t need any previous creative experience — this retreat is about enjoying the process, not the outcome.
 
Throughout the day, you will:
 
🍂 Explore creativity through playful drawing exercises
Using nature-inspired objects as inspiration, we’ll experiment with fun and freeing creative activities designed to quiet the inner critic and help you reconnect with the joy of making.
 
🌿 Take a mindful woodland walk and gather inspiration from nature
Slow down, notice the details around you, and explore the textures, patterns and shapes of the natural world through creative observation and recording.
 
🎨 Create a collaborative woodland-inspired painting
Working together, we’ll explore how creativity can be shared, layered and transformed when we let go of needing to control the final result.
 
☕ Create your own woodland-textured clay mug
Using slab-building techniques, you’ll create a handmade mug inspired by the natural surroundings, incorporating textures and details discovered throughout the day.
 
After the retreat, I will take all clay creations home to dry, fire, glaze and fire again. All of this is included in the price. Finished pieces will be ready approximately 4 weeks later, either for collection from Worthing or, for an additional £4 (payable after the event), posted out to you.

I offer a small number of community tickets alongside standard and supporter tickets, allowing you to choose the option that feels right for you.
 
🌱 Community Ticket — £75
A limited number of reduced-price places for those who would love to attend but need a little more flexibility.
 
🌿 Standard Ticket — £95
The full retreat experience, including all creative materials, clay, firing and glazing.
 
🍂 Supporter Ticket — £110
For those who are able to contribute a little more, helping to make community places possible.
 
All tickets include the same full retreat experience.

🍂 Time: 10:30 - 4:30
 
The retreat is intentionally kept small, creating a relaxed and supportive space where everyone has time to create, connect and enjoy the experience.
 
🔹️The retreat is completely outdoors and takes place in all weather; please come prepared with layers and waterproof clothing.

🔹️In the case of heavy rain or strong winds, the facilitator may postpone the day for safety. In this event, you will be offered a new date or a full refund.

🔹️The venue is a rustic, outdoor setting on a hillside. There will be some moderate walking on narrow paths — please wear suitable footwear and consider accessibility before booking.

🔹️All creative materials for the day, firing, and glazing, are included in the price.

🔹️What to Bring: Packed lunch, comfortable, practical, clothing that you don't mind getting messy, (some of the materials we will be painting with may stain), weather appropriate layers, waterproofs, sturdy footwear, water bottle

🔹️Participants bring their own packed lunch and water bottle; herbal tea, will be available and included in the price.

🔹️The venue is accessed by car (or bike). There's parking, and toilet facilities, available on site.
